June 1-10:  The streetlights have been installed and the brick pavers are in place.  Prep work is being done to start paving the downtown area beginning on June 15.  The concrete pads have been poured for the relocation of the historic Confederate monument and for the new monument.  The historic Confederate monument has been dismantled and moved from its original location.  The move of the monument was mandated by GDOT and will greatly aid larger vehicles trying to make a Washington Street to Sycamore Stree left turn.
